The life-saving organ was transported from Surat to Ahmedabad aboard Train No. 20901 Mumbai Central-Gandhinagar Capital Vande Bharat Express, ensuring its safe and timely arrival for transplantation at the U.N. Mehta Institute of Cardiology & Research Centre, Ahmedabad.
The swift operation was facilitated through a coordinated green corridor involving railway authorities, healthcare teams and local administration. The successful mission demonstrates the potential of India’s high-speed rail network to support critical healthcare services by enabling the rapid transport of organs for transplantation.
